Biography
My research activity focuses on two main fields: 1.plankton ecology and 2.conservation ecology 1. my work in this field is on the life cycles of planktonic species and the role of resting stages in the dynamic of planktonic communities 2. a special focus on endangered species, in particular on the bivalve mollusc Pinna nobilis as biodiversity enhancer and its recent mass mortality throughout the Mediterranean.Publications
