Biography

Born 1962, Fernando Rubino is Full-time Researcher at the Institute for Coastal Marine Environment (IAMC) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). He serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals in the field of Marine Biology and he is author of more than 90 scientific publications, mainly on international journals, 10 technical reports and editor of 2 books. He is a member of many scientific societies, including the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO). Currently he is the Head of the Laboratory of Plankton Ecology at the section of Taranto of the IAMC and his main research activity is on the role of resting stages produced by planktonic species on plankton dynamics in marine coastal waters.
