Dr. Douglas P. Malinowski is a BD Fellow, the Global Head of Scientific Affairs and the Chief Scientific Officer for BD Diagnostics - Women’s Health and Cancer. His current responsibilities include leading the technology strategy, the innovation programs and the Office of Scientific Affairs for the Women’s Health and Cancer business. These responsibilities encompass molecular oncology, cervical disease screening, HPV genotyping and cytopathology.
Dr. Malinowski’s previous experience includes Vice President of Scientific Affairs and the Chief Scientific Officer for BD’s Women’s Health and Cancer business (2006-2010); Vice President of Research and Chief Scientific Officer for TriPath Oncology (2001-2006); Vice President of Technology and Chief Scientific Officer for BD’s Molecular Oncology venture (2000 - 2001); Vice President of Technology for BD Biosciences Molecular Diagnostics(1998-2000); Vice President of Technology for BD Microbiology Systems (1997-1998); and Senior Group Manager of BD Corporate Research (1983-1997).Dr. Malinowski is an experienced R&D professional with a successful track record ofdeveloping innovation technology programs in clinical diagnostics with an emphasis on: Technology innovation,Creation of unique clinical solutions,Improving healthcare by addressing unmet clinical needs,Creating value within the diagnostic product portfolio, Successful management of technology programs ,People leadership during innovation. Dr. Malinowski’s career has focused on the application of molecular diagnostics in both infectious diseases and oncology.
