Afonso C
Biography
Cláudia Afonso is a Post-doc researcher at DivAV of IPMA and at CIIMAR (Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research). Her main scientific research is focus on quality and safety area where she developed research activities with a view to upgrading and qualifying fishery and aquaculture products. Particularly, the work has focused on risk-benefit assessment, bioaccessibility of nutrients and contaminants, nutrition and toxicology and, recently, bioprospection of compounds from marine resources. She participated in several European and Nationals research projects and supervises undergraduate, master and doctorate students.Publications
