Biography

Sarasvati’s family came to India as refugees from East Bengal. Her father runs a tea stall outside the Bhilai Steel Plant hospital. Sarasvati was a school with Rita Chandel, one of the other trainees, and like her was a keen member of the National Cadet Corps. During training Sarasvati specialised in editing and production management,  She has also directed two student productions and sometimes works as sound recordist. She has represented Jandarshan a number of times , for example at a media workshop run by Avehi Bombay and on a visit to  Thathapi Woman’s Welfare Centre  in Pune.
