Biography

Dr. Alimorad G. Djalali finished his medical education in Germany where he also worked on his doctoral thesis focusing on microcirculation and anesthetic agents. Right from the beginning he was interested in genuine science, but was not always encouraged by predominantly unscientific ways science was approached. In his quest for more professionalism he moved to the US where he completed a fellowship and residency for the second time. The work environment at the Brigham and Women’s hospital was much closer to what he had in mind. During that time he had the opportunity to work with remarkable individuals who partially restored his fate in science. He is currently working at Stanford University as a staff physician involved in patient care, teaching, administration, and clinical research.

Research Interest

He is interested in multiple areas of anesthesia, Not limited to microcirculation, Ventilation, Pain management, Clinical pharmacology, Local anesthetics, The role of anesthesiologist in patient outcome etc.
