Dr Helieh Oz is a Veterinarian and PhD scientist with expertise in inflammatory and infectious diseases and pain related behavioral alterations. Dr Oz uses both animal models, in vitro cultures and molecular and biochemical technology to study innate and mucosal Immunity, receptors modifications, signaling pathways, pathogenesis and drug discovery. Dr Oz has been studying ROS, antioxidants and micronutrients to encounter autoimmune diseases including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, hepatitis and pancreatitis, periodontitis and bone loss with several related peer reviewed articles. She is an active Editorial board member of Journals including World Journal of Gastroenterology and pathophysiology; World Journal of Hepatology and Science advisory board. Dr Oz is an active member of American Association of Gastroenterology (AGA) and has been selected and induced as an AGA Fellow (AGAF).
