Biography

Dr. Jay Margolis’ career spans over 3 decades as a practicing healthcare professional, specializing in health outcomes research, clinical pharmacotherapy practice, and healthcare informatics. His health outcomes research projects have involved ‘real-world’ data analyses and managed care research, with recent studies focusing in pain, oncology, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, neurological, endocrine, and cardiovascular disorders, resulting in numerous posters, presentations, and publications. Dr. Margolis has held leadership and research positions with Truven Health Analytics, HealthCare and IMS Health where he led projects in outcomes research, primary research with patients and physicians including medical chart reviews, and market research for pharmaceutical industry clients. He previously held clinical and leadership positions in institutional pharmacy practice and healthcare informatics as a recognized expert in medical management and clinical pharmacy practice management software. He is an active member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP).
